Desperados
Desperados is a tequila flavoured beer and is a brand that aims to use music to make positive change and cause social interaction. For this brief, I was required to find a cause and help Desperados create a positive change. Being a current and well-known issue at the time, I decided to focus on Cape Town’s water crisis. After some research, I found that there are streams of fresh water that run under Cape Town, called Camissa. I wanted to create awareness of these streams and bring people together socially in the true spirit of Desperados. To do this, I created a battle of the DJ’s event in which the DJ’s would have to only use sounds of water to make a song. The entire event would drive awareness for the cause, bring people together socially through the use of music and get everyone drinking Desperados beer.
