Blood Drop
My team member and I were required to raise social awareness for the Western Province Blood Transfusion Services. The Blood Drop cellphone application rewards users through gamification by giving them a sense of accomplishment for their kindness. The app is designed to track the user’s donated blood, as well as tells them what their blood is being used for, and notifies them when it has saved a life. This gives the user an emotional benefit, causing them to want to save more lives in order to feel the same sense of accomplishment and ultimately gets more people to donate blood.
